Apart from the obvious, I wonder if the attraction of seeing photos of girls licking door knobs is that they (the doorknob that is) are likely to be dirty from having been handled by so many people. I mean rather than pictures of girls licking other household objects.

Assuming of course that this is a sexual thing.

What fools we were to not have two tumblrs - one for handles, one for proper knobs per se - so as to avoid the current problem of genre-crossing overbreadth.

Wow -- that was close. People might have misinterpreted it as something less than the sensitive, high quality artwork it is and it might not even have made it onto the MeFi board where sensitive high quality types like us can gaze in rapt awe and wonder at the myriad possibilities for self expression and Canada Council grants had you chosen to limit your description to "girls licking knobs".
