Joss Whedon (very previously) is well-known for colouring outside the lines and this morning it seems he has filmed a Shakespeare adaptation. You know, in his spare time from making some other movie.
The cast includes performers from his Buffy/Angel/Firefly TV series, as well as a few new-to-Whedon faces. No word yet on release or distribution, or whether there will be a badass teenage girl killing things.

Whedon's pretty notorious for hosting day-long Shakespeare readings at his home with tons of folks from the Buffy/Angel/Firefly casts. It was probably only a matter of time before one of these sessions got filmed and released to the public at large. Should be interesting.

Is this a Smoke/Blue in the Face type of situation? Did Whedon have so much extra footage he made an entire extra film out of it ? It has The Captain in it so I guess I gotta see it.
