That's not at all how I'd do the "where to look" choreography. Rather than memorize a bunch of angles and set up a mirror with post-its, why not a big "LOOK HERE" sign on a long arm? It automatically moves to the right place for the current show and you just look at it. (Actually, you'd want two so you can look at one while the other is moving and then switch.)

Sounds like a lot of work, but they already wrote a bunch of software and timings and practiced, so it would probably be less work overall. And re-usable (in case you changed orders or wanted to do another project, etc).

Oddly hypnotic. I wonder how many people there are in the world who actively choose between more than, say, three ways to wear a scarf in their day-to-day life.

I wouldn't even begin to know how to make a video like this, but she's really pretty and it was a lot of fun to watch. Plus, I all extra covet that Alexander McQueen skull scarf she has in the first few!

Twenty-five ways? I am unclear on how the "Infinity" differs from the "DIY Infinity". I would demand a recount, but it seems uncharitable given that I finally have ideas for more than two ways to wear my gorgeous but unmanageably long dupatta scarf.

That made me really happy. I liked watching the small versions of her in the background while the main scarf action was happening. In the bottom couple squares on the right side she was really grooving to the music a lot.

I use this video all the time! And I always get compliments for how awesome my scarves are, and I never tell them I blatantly stole the ideas from this video.

I believe the difference between the infinity and the DIY infinity involves the type of scarf -- one starts with a square and the other starts with a long rectangle.

Well, different scarfs, coats and weather require different ways of tying a scarf for maximum comfort. The European Loop is usually your best bet on a cold and/or wet and/or windy day, though some scarfs don't respond well to it. I had one scarf which caused me endless trouble until I hit on folding it in thirds, creating a sort of Double European Loop, at which point it promptly became my favorite and warmest scarf.

Ooh, I love this! Scarves are a necessity in the Great White North and I enjoy my collection. For whatever reason, I'm always being asked how I tie mine, so I'm passing this video on in memory of the Hawai'ian roomie who taught me the European knot one Spanish winter.

I liked watching it, but as a non-scarf-wearing novice, I felt it moved too quickly to really demonstrate scarf katas. I think I'm a kinesthetic learner, though.

Nice video! I didn't know what it what is was called, but generally used the European loop. I must try the Magic Trick! I made myself a hooded scarf recently and will have to try a few modifications of these styles too.

thank you for this! I have so many scarves and had so little imagination on how to tie them. This is lovely.
And I love how I can see the 25 styles together at the end, click one of them and be shown a video just about that one style, so I can learn at my own pace :-|

from the About section of her blog: she grew up homeless, graduated from Berkely with a psych degree, and helps kids at the San Francisco Juvenile Detention Center pass the high school exit exam "so they’ll have a second chance in life once they leave juvenile hall."
