Never Too Early Movie Predictions: "Quite possibly the earliest Oscar predictions on the web. Predictions are currently being made through 2017!"
At the current pace, Iron Man 4 should be up for an effects oscar then, right?

I was expecting a (hilarious?) meta-commentary on formulaic Oscar noms. Instead it's... a perfect and entirely earnest illustration of same.

On the other hand I was working my way backwards through the years predicted and coming across Independence Day 3 completely devoid of context was pretty hilarious.

I predict continued artistic irrelevance, through 2017 and beyond.

Yeah, I was also expecting parody. Is this totally earnest or is it just too subtle for me to get?

The future is already here. It's just not equally disturbing yet.

They've got "Extremely Loud, Incredibly Close" winning *next* year's award for best adapted screenplay. I thought it was eligible for this year?
(never mind: I see a caveat that it would win next year only if not released in 2011)

Uh, the minute the guy predicted Guillermo Del Toro would win best director for PACIFIC RIM, which is exactly like saying Justin Lin would win this year's best director for FAST FIVE, he lost me. I love Del Toro, but I will bet a thousand dollars (really: PM me) that he and PACIFIC RIM won't be nominated for best director.
