Insane art formed by carving books with surgical tools

Using knives, tweezers and surgical tools, Brian Dettmer carves one page at a time. Nothing inside the out-of-date encyclopedias, medical journals, illustration books, or dictionaries is relocated or implanted, only removed.

This is pretty surprisingly delightful. Altho there will no doubt be a litany of 'oh no the poor old media format! How dare he alter the forms!'

I missed it too... I vote it should stay.

This is pretty fantastic stuff, my mind can't even begin to understand the complex thought that goes into planning one of these...
