I think it's supposed to be funny if you've lived in France. And you're gay.

You're an expat, and have become fed up with the country you live in because of a ton of trivial First World Problems and cultural differences that most people would really just let go, but you can't seem to let any of them go without perseverating on them until you're angry and unhappy. Do you:

A. Cloak your list of expat cultural-difference niggles in the pretense of comedy.
B. Further disguise this list as a "quiz" that is not actually a quiz.
C. Post your quiz on the Internet because Something Must Be Done: the world must know your displeasure!.
D. All of the above, because "all of the above" is the best punch line for every question in any pseudo-quiz and totally not boring or lazy or predictable.

Everything is either D) All of the Above or E) None of the Above... at least through Question #8, at which point I hit the TL;DR wall.

David Lebovitz needs to leave the expat humor to David Sedaris. In return, David Sedaris should not post recipes.

If there is one thing I've learned from answering multiple choice questions over the years, it is that if you don't know the answer, just check C.

B. Grudgingly move your car off to the side because even though the ambulance is racing to take save someone’s life, complaining that you’re going to miss the start Star Academy.

Is this some weird French-English translation humor that I'm missing out on, or did he just accidentally some words?

Maybe I'm just humorless, but where's the funny? "Woe! Paris is different! Woe! Did I mention Paris?"
