Was prepared to hate it on the basis of "I haz" being completely worn out, dressing animals in costumes, being pepsi blue, and bad pyschedelic music but I think I still like it. Hell I might even get one them.

I don't get the point of what they're selling. It's ... a garbage can? For kitty poops? I have one of those: it's called "a garbage can".

That said, I'm all for more humorous psychedelic videos with cats in them.

I always imagine the creation of the Litter Genie came about after an intense product meeting in which Playtex marketing staff brainstormed who else in American typically tolerates poop sitting around in their house other than new parents

And here I am, walking to the bathroom like a sucker.

Don't even get me started on Diaper Genie. I am still sorta flabbergasted that some parents don't dump all the poop into the toilet before they throw paper diapers away. I had NO idea.

Mine was Poopsi Poo.

So there.

And this is a pretty decent product if you use clumping cat litter or don't want to have your garbage stinking before pickup. (Gack, summertime heat!)

But have you ever scooped and then missed getting some in the plastic bag you were aiming for? I hate that.

My cat poop trashcan also talks to cats. It says to them "I'm full of treasure!" and "That rug sure could use a turd or two!"

I spent the night thinking about how if I had kept the DiaperGenie from my four kids then I would also have solved a cat problem -- namely that as teenagers they are shit at taking care of the litter box. We went to Target and bought one tonight and, without missing a beat, one looked at it and said "were they talking about this on Metafilter."
