Blogger posts dumb stuff about Science Fiction sales. The professionals at Making Light respond: Obvious nonsense about SF sales history. Blogger attempts to defend himself. Hilarity ensues.

This post was deleted for the following reason: This is an interesting subject but really requires better framing and more thorough linking to make much sense. Feel free to take another crack at it tomorrow. -- restless_nomad

The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress has sold “well over 1,500 copies…to date.”

Oh. Oh dear.

I am not sure that "hilarity" is the word I would pick. I see a bunch of editors and writers (well, and others) piling on a guy who is, to be fair, a bit of an idiot, but geeze. The digs at his spelling and grammar were petty, and it just seemed -- mean spirited (not the original post, which was more "where did these wacky figures come from?" but the thread in general. I guess it pays not to read comments on the internet, but, if that's the case, why post this at all.

You promise me hilarity, you need to deliver hilarity.
