A few weeks ago, blogger Edward McClelland posted a lengthy, snarky article about his feud with 1990s balladeer Richard Marx. (Previously on Metafilter.) Long story short: McClelland called Marx "shameless" in a post for a Chicago TV news blog, never imagining that Marx would read it, let alone respond. But a furious Marx did respond, challenging McClelland to meet in person. And their scrap did not end there.
Oh, no... In a new post on Salon.com, McClelland updates on his subsequent battles with Marx and reprints an email from Marx offering his own opinion of the dispute. So, is Marx truly in the wrong? Or is he, as Marx says, the new poster-boy for Chickenshit-itis?
This post was deleted for the following reason: When the "previously" is a week ago, it's generally better to just add the new links in the existing thread, because this is functionally a double. -- restless_nomad
