Kabeh Kamooneh of Dekalb County, Georgia, probably thought that buying an all-electric Nissan Leaf would be cheaper in the long run than a gasoline vehicle. He probably didn't consider legal fees in the equation, until was arrested for plugging his car in at a middle school while taking tennis lessons.
