Any time I am unhappy with my juice choices (fuck you, cranberry UTI helpfulness being mythology!), I just go to an underground fighting ring and I shoot a couple of people. That makes everything all better!

I was not expecting that to be nearly as good as it was.

I had a work week like this once. Well, about once a year month.

I especially like the Mr. Rogers-esque jazz piano tinkle over the credits.

Reminded me of Unedited Footage of a Bear, except that's a lot longer and a lot darker and scarier.
He makes a lovely mom. If his voice had been pitched a bit higher, I might have just assumed I was watching a genetic female actor. (I gather he identifies as a he, so hopefully I'm using the right pronouns.) It was an interesting performance, not drag queen-y or over the top. A parody about a chipper commercial mom gradually revealing her inner torment and wild, druggy past would seem like a recipe for a big queeny meltdown, but this was much more subtle and real than that.

That was great. Probably a full minute longer than it needed to be, but whatever.

The way she says "I had to get out of town, so I spent some time in Phoenix. Actually no, you don't spend time in Phoenix. You lose time in Phoenix."
This is INCREDIBLE and I can't even articulate why. But that face on "you lose time in Phoenix" had me feeling an incredible pang of recognition.

I guess I really didn't feel the humor here. All I can see in it is a lazy mockery of Mother stereotypes. Watching a man in a wig do that just felt.. heartbreaking, not really funny at all for me.

More dark character work from Cole. Also, here he is singing Taylor Swift's "Fifteen".

Not quite as disturbing as "Unedited Footage of a Bear", but maybe that's not such a bad thing.
