Life as a drone operator

'Ever step on ants and never give it another thought?' "In a secluded room at an airbase in Nevada, young men hold the power of life and death over people thousands of miles away. Former servicemen tell their story."

I thought I'd post this because when things like the Paris terror attacks happen I find myself getting all fighty inside and secretly wishing that we'd do some really bad things to really bad people. Then I read something like this and it helps with perspective.

Spoiler Alert: There's enough terribleness for two sides.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Hey sorry, this kind of "my personal take on it" framing isn't a workable form for a Mefi post. -- LobsterMitten

I often wonder if one of the items they filter for when recruiting drone pilots is having never read Ender's Game?

Nah, you can have read Ender's Game. You just have to still think it was a clever idea.
