Seven year old Olivia Farnsworth, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire has a chromosome 6 deletion which gives her a mix of super-human abilities which has never been reported before. Olivia has never experienced pain, or hunger, or tiredness.

The first time Olivia yawned was when she had to go to school.

Mum Niki Trepak reports: ”She doesn't let any of this affect her - because for her, she's normal. She's never experienced pain, or hunger, or tiredness."

Olivia's condition is described as chromosome 6 deletion but the mix of super-human abilities has never been reported before.

People with chromosome disorders suffer from missing or re-arranged genetic material - one common disorder being Down’s Syndrome.

Mum Niki: “She's got no sense of danger.

"She got run over and dragged down the street by a car and she didn't complain.

"She was dragged about 10 car lengths down the road. It was horrendous, I don't think it's something I will never get over.

"I was screaming and all my other children were screaming as she ran out.

"But Olivia was just like, 'What's going on?'.

There are about 74 more quotes I could pull and paste in here, and I damn sure do love typing "Mum" so I'm tempted to do so, but really, you've got to read this. It's the best, cleanest reportage* I could find on Olivia, the most great pull-quotes, the best photos -- on top of everything else, Olivia is perhaps the most darling child on the planet, cute as a bugs ear.**
*It's from The Daily Mail; I can never remember which UK newspaper I'm supposed to hold in contempt here on MetaFilter (I personally believe that it should be listed on the FAQ page) so I'm just going with the one with the best reportage on Olivia.
**You might say "Cute as a button." rather than "Cute as a bugs ear." I wavered back and forth but just went with what I'd say were we talking with one another, which we sortof are here on MetaFilter.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Hey, yeah, sorry, but a single link article from the not-so-trustworthy Daily Mail, plus kind of spotlighting this one little girl, plus the strong personal voice format here isn't really going to work; contact us if you'd like to discuss or edit -- taz
