I've been close friends since childhood with someone who went through Zucker's care. The man is vile. Regressive and nasty and just yuck. Every trans person I know who has had anything to do with him has been cheering this news. And according to someone I know who works at CAMH, that feeling is shared by many staff.

And, frankly, NYMag's framing is really, really awful here. Painting the guy as some helpless victim. Gross.
