I love this. All knitting reminds of my Gram, she'd love this. As a knitter, I love this because of what gram said when my attention would wonder thus stitches missed.

"Stick to your knitting"

And that's a powerfully beautiful thing.

I posted this to my knitting blog's Facebook page with the comment, "After a week of terrible news, I'm sending you all some love in a medium we all know and understand -- knitting." It was well-received, garnering 370 shares, 399 likes, and a number of enthusiastic comments. But one person commented, "What terrible news?" I replied, "This, for one thing," and linked to a news item about the wave of hate crimes following the election. I hope the fact that the commenter didn't respond to my reply was a positive sign.
