Is your cat suffering from whisker fatigue?

It sounds like a joke, but it's deadly serious for kitties. "Whisker Fatigue" occurs when a cat's food is in a bowl that requires it to rub its whiskers against the edge of the bowl to eat. Of course, this post wouldn't be complete without a picture of my cats.

Oh, dear. This reminds me of cutting off my kitty's whiskers when I was about 3. They "hurted him!" per Baby Brokedown. I had no siblings to practice my scissors skills on....That was one bemused cat.

Next time I go to look at the politics threads, I'm going to tell myself "whisker fatigue!" and then look at a cute animal post instead.

because see I'm saying the way we all feel right now is basically whisker fatigue. we're getting all these big stimuli and can't do anything about it.

There is always a little, flat, bread plate, that has to be shared between two cats. This sits in a large tray, so they can push it around all they like. If I go out of town, I can put a gallon of dry in that tray, it lasts a week. There is the giant water bowl, too. My friend told me a long time ago, a cats whiskers are as wide as they are, to tell if they can fit through a space.

Your cats are beautiful. May I ask their names?

Maybe this is why cats won't finish the dry food before demanding a top-up. It bothers them to clean out the corners. And also that part of the food has stopped existing.
