What happened to my favorite Star Wars news site? For some reason, TheForce.net is down and in its place is "Chick Click" which celebrates "cool chicks who are stirring things up, from stellar athletes to musical mavens to young activists." It appears as if the downward spiral of the economy has struck Chick Click, but what does this have to do with TheForce.net. Bring me back my Ki Adi Mundi!

What is this "Star Wars" thing you speak of?

Q: What do Chick Click and the Comic Sans font have in common? A: Both are endorsed by Satan.
I just made that up so don't be a hater.

"Unfortunately, because of the changes in the economy, we can no longer keep ChickClick up and running."
Happy now, Hammerikaner? You killed it.

Both Web sites are probably hosted on the same server, and the server uses the HTTP 1.1 Host header to decide which site to return. Your firewall probably doesn't support this header (or HTTP 1.1) and so you get the "default" site on the server. If you do a DNS lookup on both domains they will likely point to the same IP address, which is a sure sign.

What's odd is when you ping theforce.net it's IP shows up as 216.35.123.107, but if you click on the link it leads to ign.com. So I think TheForce.net is on a shared IP.
