It is important to realize that some typical pop/rock chord progressions (I- bVII, or I-bIII-IV, for example) do not make much sense in traditional music theory. So don't look at the subject as providing absolute rules for what is allowable.

I'm a life-long intuitive songwriter, and I've been trying to find the right music theory course and resources for years. This looks like it will fill in the gaps for me in a really nice progression.
I can't wait to go through it from the beginning, now that I've poked around a bit.
