Old news, waits no longer. This is not a first, yet he is now the other. Chalk it up as another fact the two share. Was this really necessary? I think Reagan's past history is being used to get similar results for Bush's 1st term. Notice I say 1st term. Maybe Reagan had different current events but the results are starting to look like Bush's current in popularity. This is not a post to Bash, both of these men are different, yet the director seems to be the same. Am I the only one that thinks history is being baited to make a repeat. Remember, Bush Sr. did not get re-elected after the Gulf War. I made an earlier joke, yet now..... Also where is the quiet Bush.

Oh, how I long for a "ramble" option in Google Language Tools.

If it hasn't already been done, perhaps we ought to set up a way to assist posters who are having difficulty with English. The web's a big place and only most, not all of it, writes in English. Perhaps we could have some sort of editme@metafilter.com mailing list where volunteers could pitch in and offer help.

Thomcatspike: as a fellow foreigner I can just about tell your post is interesting. Please e-mail me with a more complete explanation of the points you wish to raise and I'll gladly rephrase your post in a way that these numbskulls can understand. ;)

I thought thomcatspike was 'murrican, right there in good ol' Dallas, Texas, U. S. A.
A thousand pardons begged if I'm mistaken. I'd probably make as much sense if I tried to type in, say, Portuguese (just to pull a random language out of thin air).

no some long thought, for some time.
Basically when Reagan became "popular" with the entire nation,it was after his election. Well since Bush's election, he is loosing his popularity with me. Some issues I agree, yet more I disagree as his term progresses. So how is that it his popularity is going up since the election. Usually you start at a point then peak out. I never thought Bush would have this much popularity, if I was to make a guess 2 years ago.
Just saying, looks like Bush is being groomed, just like Reagan was. It is also easier for me to discuss too, as you see a different story after Reagan's terms. So why wait lets just make an educated guess as it seems to be true.

Thomcatspike: I can't understand what you are trying to say and it seems as though I'm not the only one.
If you aren't a native English speaker, maybe you need to get someone to help you with your translations.
On preview, I can see that Miguel has offered his help. Good on ya, Miguel!
It might be a good idea for you to invest in a remedial writing course as well.
