We Rate Dogs’ annual compendium of good boys and girls is here. If you’re like me, you might want to have tissues available—these videos seem to bring an inordinate amount of dust with them.
They're good dogs, Brant. (Especially the one waiting for the school bus, the one rolling his friend in the snow, and the one contemplating the beach at sunset)

Awooo, indeed.
One night this past summer, my sweet Annie brought me a dark, drenched, slimy thing that I soon realized was 2/3 of a squirrel. It was the best and nicest thing she could think of to give me, which makes it the nicest gift I've ever gotten. 16/10.

WHO was the good Samaritan dog who thought they were breaking up a fight at a wrestling tournament. I must know more

Countess Elena, it happened at the largest jiujitsu championship in Chile. But his superhero origin remains a mystery!

Small (non-puppy) dogs heavily under-represented in that video. Perhaps they were not so good.

I trained my Instagram algorithm to show me a lot of dogs (especially pit bulls) and it's great.

Just be careful--if you "like" too many tweets about sick/dead dogs just to be supportive of sad strangers, you will see AN INFINITE SUPPLY.

My dog was the fast running sheepdog just a few hours ago. Now he is a farting sleepdog. All is good.

My dog was the fast running sheepdog just a few hours ago.
I love seeing a working dog (or athletic mongrel) going at full tilt.
I am lucky enough to live somewhere with beaches and will sometimes hang out just to see the dogs race up and down. There is just something so pure about the pleasure dogs seem to get.
I remember being at one beach a while back. It was just us until a family showed up and let a big dog out the back of their car. He jumped out and ran about 40-50m then stopped and turned and looked at his family as if he couldn't believe they weren't running with him. They waited while he ran in big looping circles. I suspect they were giving him a last run before heading for home and less beachy climes.

My kid, who’s somehow more jaded than I am, dissed DogRates as a sellout because he plugs pet insurance for income. But I’m here to tell you that insuring your pet, especially when they’re young and the rates are low, can literally be a life-saver. Trupanion has helped save a dear cat on death’s door three times. 15/10 would recommend. (He has pet insurance for his dogo now.)
