I apologize for my cat behaving like this

My cat don’t like old typewriters

For those keeping score, Puff ignored an Aritmometer Payen P3A (1897), Frolio 7 (1924), Hammond Multiplex (1913), and Blickensderfer (1910)

Part 2, in which—despite help from viewers—Puff displays no interest in a Mignon 4 typewriter from 1925, a Thalel Rechenmachine calculator, a Royal Bar-Lock from 1909, a Duconta calculator from Ducati Motors in the 1940s, and a 1980s Underwood 22.

Part 3, in which Puff ignores an M1 (1914) and M20 (1925) from Olivetti, a 1930 Torpedo calculator, and a Lilliput ‘toy’ typewriter. He manages brief interest in a 1919 Oliver 9, but it does not carry over to the 1931 Urania 7.

If you ARE interested in old typewriters and calculators then you should check out the aptly named Old Typewriters and Calculators YouTube channel. There are separate videos on most of the machines Puff ignored, such as the Torpedo calculator and the Oliver 9 typewriter, as well as others like the Underwood Elliott-Fisher book typewriter.

If you're just here for the lazy cat, here he is ignoring typewriter catalogs.

No, the cat only uses command line modal text editors.

Surely it would use cat >> filename. Cats have no need for an editor. Anything we perceive as a mistake is actually intentional genius beyond our understanding.

I had a cat who would lie on the table and watch me grade papers. At some point, it would get to be too much, and he would grab the on out of my hand.

A cat would definitely overwrite.

Watching these is ASMR for the eyes.

He should install a gas fireplace and get those little glass "rocks" that go in the bottom. My cat is very interested in those. He enjoys pulling them out of the fireplace to clatter on the floor, but only when we are eating dinner.

If you show the cat that you are interested in him and the things that matter to him, he will take more of an interest in you, and then you can explore common interests. It is not all about you.

I have no idea how these people got their cats wedged into their typewriters, or why.

My cat likes to bite the corners of papers. So I hand worksheets back and it looks like I went at them with a stapler while drunk.

My cat feels strongly about laser printers. [Video is 14 years old and Boo is still going strong.]
