Tim Walz Joins the Democratic Ticket

After several weeks of rising speculation and suspense, Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Timothy James Walz as her running mate for the 2024 election. Walz has a long record of public service. He has worked as a teacher in China, and taught high school in Nebraska and Minnesota, where he also coached football and basketball. He served in the National Guard for 24 years, achieving the rank of Command Second Major. In 2006 Walz was elected to Congress, and remained there until 2018, when he was elected governor of Minnesota. Walz is solidly centrist, is pro-choice, and supports a ceasefire in Gaza. As a state governor he has signed off on various bills that provide school lunches for kids, institute background check requirements for gun purchases, ban the practice of conversion therapy and protect gender-affirming care, and best of all, if he should come to visit your house, you will not feel any need to hide your couch.
