Many Europeans think Bush/America has gone mad. John Le Carre is European. I don't think this is really news to anyone.

The present (or maybe the one before) issue of Time has a fairly interesting article on the growing divide on either side of the Atlantic. I think looking into the cultural reasons for this is a more worthy pursuit than racking up collections of Europeans with anti-American opinions.

As much as America's foreign policy terrifies me I do think there is some truth to what Blair says when he states that America are the only ones willing to tackle certain key issues - and thus perhaps there is some justice to the term Euro-wimp that is apparently doing the rounds in Washington. However, the Bush administration doesn't seem to want to listen to any input European nations do have, so...

blah blah - sorry to get into politics etc etc ad infinitum, ad nauseam, ad rock, addled mind...
