Google Logos Takes a Day Off For a company that has recently celebrated such holidays as Escher's birthday, Valentine's Day and Father's Day, Google certainly doesn't seem to be very eager to celebrate the 4th of July. (Witness the barren homepage.) Oversight, or slight?
This post was deleted for the following reason: wrong!
Doesn't look so barren to me.

Well, okay, it's not that bad.
In Canada, we get shuttled to www.google.ca.
And then, we have to go to www.google.com/ncr to escape the Canuckity.
But that isn't really quite Google, now is it?
Sorry all.

how do i make it show? (mind you, why would i want it to - google as an international service needs no yankfilter logo, imho)

To take it further off-topic, does anyone know a way to get to sites like alt.sho.com from places that don't celebrate July 4? Preferably without paying for anonymizer?

I couldn't believe that a web site that looked as fertile as the Tennessee River Valley could bear no logos, but the doctor explained that its insides were a rocky place, where my seed could find no purchase.

Even after reloading and clearing my browser cache, I only see the regular logo at Google.com, and Google.ca. Browsing from Vancouver, Canada.
