Floating legless infants (with dwarves), smoking gods, and skeletal studies of cartoon characters. The intriguing and unnerving work of artist and illustrator Michael Paulus.

Damn. I searched for that exact URL too using the Google search. Crapped out on my first post.

Well, it's your first post, so I forgive you. You'll learn the ropes soon enough.

Well it's a more comprehensive link than the last, so I say leave it. Because looking through it led me to this, which led me to this Google cache of Beverley Paulus' website which led me to this which has all led me to be confused. I mean, human sterilization. Art. Which made me think a lot more about the first time I saw this.

If you want to see a smoking god, take a look at this drawing of a Maya carving from Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. This is God L, from the Temple of the Cross. Drawing by Linda Schele.
