I wonder if Microsoft is asked this a lot. I'm thinking that if one can get Linux installed in the first place, this part wouldn't really be too hard in comparison. Wishful thinking on Microsoft's part? "Linux might go away if everyone knew how to get rid of the stupid thing!"

Me, fungible? I run Win XP on my machine. I'm no Linux fanboy. I just thought it was interesting.

Bad FPP. Perhaps if the post entailed all of Microsoft's campaigns against Linux and used this as one link among many it would be alright.

Anyways, it could be that your damned grandson Billy installed Fedora on your machine again, or Bob the power-user gave you his old server which seems to be adequate for your needs. Maybe you even bought a machine preloaded with Linux.

It's a legitimate question. Some linux installs aren't really very difficult either.

So... Microsoft wrote instructions for installing their OS? Fascinating.

that's not thinking, that's uninformed conjecture. i installed ubuntu with no trouble at all.

People buy linux installed machines for dirt cheap at Walmart etc, and then find out they can't run the games their kids want and other such stuff so they want Windows instead. So yeah they probably do get asked that now and then.
