Afghan Citizen to Face Death for Conversion to Christianity

Death could await Afghani Christian convert. Last month, the Afghan government arrested Abdul Rahman, an Afghan citizen, for the crime of leaving Islam and converting to Christianity. Ranking Democrat on the House Int'l Relations Committee Tom Lantos calls it "outrageous." Video of Rahman here: "Being hanged to death! I accept it, yes I do, but I am not an infidel as I am branded and I am not an apostate. I am a Jesus Follower (Christian)."

Argh. Sorry... I would blame it on the lack of a real-time search engine for the site but I should have looked down the page...

Different day by only 16 minutes, though, and only in certain time zones. Also, still on the front page. At least when I make a double post, it's from 5 years ago, dammit.

cheerful chappy, but, umm, why are they so damned serious about their religions -over there-? Why don't people like this just recant, cross their fingers while they do it, and then vote for the less insane politcal party when it comes time (if the option is ever available)?

wumpus, try Googling for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. I bet that's what this guy's basing it on...and it's not such a bad parallel.
