Yes, the whacking with the sticks really made it. I can't help thinking that some of our western youths would benefit from an application of the stick from time to time! I love how they take the full golf swing too.

That show is really funny. The group is called Down Town. They do a lot of skits like that. Sometimes they send three or four of the guys on a trip, and if they laugh at anything, they get whacked on the ass with a paddle or some such trauma. Of course the producers have set it up so that something ridiculous happens every 5 seconds, and the guys all end up getting beaten to the point where they can't sit down anymore. The best gag they have is one in which they go into a public library and sit at a table. They draw cards and the loser gets tortured by the others in progressively grotesque ways. But since they're in a library, he can't dry out in agony, nor can the others laugh in shadenfraude. It doesn't sound it, but it's actually really hilarious.
