There's some mighty fine white girl new wave dancing going there.

Oh totally:

Hey, it could be the official anthem of Hizballah! Do Muslim terrorists like new wave music? I always felt that people as evil as they are, would prefer stadium rock (Journey, Styx, Aerosmith, Phil Collins...)

The 1980s stands out from the rest history as an out-layer. Something different from the rest of history. A bizarre spectacle. Do you ever imagine what it would be like to live in 80s world?

I think I would just buy a Nintendo and tune out for the rest of the decade. Mmmm... Nintendo.

Like this classic:

It's almost a given that anyone with a British accent is going to be anti-Israel. Didn't Prime Minister Arthur Balfour, author of the Balfour Declaration of 1917, have a British accent?.

pyramid termite,

Thank you for linking to Bassima's Sho Abali.

She has a beautiful voice. Her music will further enrich my life and I look forward to exploring other great music from Lebanon.

Words cannot adequately express my gratitude.

Ditto on the Bassima link (her album is also available on the Apple Music Store...)

I hate to be pedantic, but shouldn't that be "outlier"?

Oh, who am I kidding? I love being pedantic.

Sometimes, when I hear a song that was on MTV or the radio when I was a lad, I think, "Oh, that song's not nearly as dumb as I remember it."

This is not one of those times.

I own Love and Dancing on vinyl, and used to play a couple of tracks off it when I DJ'd. I also owned Dare, and I never played any tracks off of it. Ever. Well, maybe once.

I really dug "Louise" and "I Love You Too Much" from this album. Not so much this song. They were, to their credit, trying to take on an important and relevant issue. Of course, they were not especially equipped for this challenge.

Still, for all you haters, you'd better change your mind or we will both. be. sorry.

I've actually been singing the chorus from this song in my head for weeks now. Perhaps this video will purge the unfortunate war inspired earworm. Not their finest moment. I prefer this one.
