Under Construction

Remnants from the Birth of the Web. With technologies like PHP, AJAX, RUBY and Flash9 all the rage today, it helps to realize just how far we've come. Google "WELCOME TO MY WEBPAGE" and see what the Internet wants you to forget. {via digg}

This post was deleted for the following reason: a google search and a dead geocities site, ah I remember the early internets....

The sole reason that the average home page looks better than that these days is the easy availability of canned blog software.

Sorry, this GeoCities site is currently unavailable.
Yup. I'd like to forget that.

How quaint, sorta like the 1950s.

I loathe Yahoo! Geocities.

Now original geocities, that was pure unadulterated awesome.

Andrew Mack: An Odyssey Into Awesomeness. Welcome to my webpage. Face it, if you’ve come here, you are one of the select few who have achieved a level of sweetness so unmatched, it should be trademarked.

A Google image search for "Under Construction" will also deliver hours and hours of unwanted nostalgia.

I actually find it sort of cute, this level of sweetness so unmatched, it should be trademarked.

my boss asked me tuesday "what do you use for web development? frontpage? dreamweaver?"

"notepad", sez i with a smile.

he gave me a quizzical look and changed the subject.

i don't think i'm going to be considered for the IT support position.

C'mon Quonsar, I bet you churn your own butter too. Umm. Wait. No need to answer that.

I can't figure out if Andrew "Awesomeness" Mack is serious or not. At any rate, LOL.

Can't someone build a new GeoCities? It's just like MySpace really, only not quite as unbearably shit.

Oh, and it's great that the third result down is all about cats -- written in first-person, no less. I miss the old-skool interweb.

Gives a whole new spin to "creaming your jeans".

A phrase of which I just discovered that it can be Googled to check its usage, an act which I proceeded to commit and shortly thereafter regret.

You won't be getting the job, quonsar, but not because you use notepad.
