Actually, tfd.com is nice beause there's no "?query=WORd&hash=ahjsdh8128" business going on. If I need to lookup a word quickly, it's just CTRL+T, tfd.com/(Word).

Looking around thefreedictionary.com, it looks like they've just crawled around others' webpages and taken their content. They include attribution, but if I want to search wikipedia, I can just go to wikipedia. I can't see any reason why thefreedictionary.com should get any page clicks from me. I've noticed other sites doing this too (either about.com or ask.com, I can't remember). I think it's kind of pathetic.
