A US AC-130 Gunship has joined the conflict in Somolia. Shortly after, CNN's headline indicates that a Japanese ship may have collided with a US Submarine, suggesting a larger scale mobilization.

Yes, but there's nothing to suggest that the submarine and/or the Japanese fishing boat have anything to do with Somalia.

Am I missing something? Where does it even hint that the collision may have taken place in or around Somalia? This could be a collision off the coast of Japan or the Pacific Northwest for all we know.
