Teh lame. I expected something a bit better from Google.
Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I would never do anything to displease Google. I love Google.
Very much.

Why is TiSP in beta?
When things go wrong with TiSP, they go very, very wrong. Let's leave it at that.

Google's pretty much allowed to get away with any April Fool's Joke they please ever since they pulled the ultimate fast one by actually releasing GMail and having nobody believe them. "One gigabyte? That's absurd! It'll never happen!"

Jeez, I laughed at the AskMe April Fool's joke, but I've now run into three other pranks during the course of normal internet use and it's getting annoying. This is not a good day to try to use the web.

(Heh. There are actually municipal ISPs based around fiber run through sewer lines --- in fact I think they've been written up on mefi, a few years ago. I think they just went to neighborhood distribution points, not full "fiber-to-the-bum" though.)

I have to download the curry I ate last night. Bandwith will be high, as compression on this particular packet is low. Surprisingly enough it'll be lossy too.
Poo jokes. Yeah. Google poo jokes.
