Mistery plane What was this plane doing over the DC on 9/11?
This post was deleted for the following reason: this is a single link conjectureful newsfilter post - plus you did not spell mystery correctly. -- jessamyn
This is a joke that I'm apparently not getting.

I remember that plane. We were on Cap. Hill coming out of the Library of Congress. A crowd gather'd on the corner looking and pointing up at the plane because we knew at the time that all other planes had been grounded. As it flew over, someone said," I think it's one of ours." We stood on the corner of 1st and Ind. for at least another 20 minutes.
This was around 11:40a.m on Sept. 11 and the Hill was still in a panic because noone knew if the subway was running or not.

I'm no expert, but it appeared to be flying.

You mean people were actually trying to stay in command and control during a crisis? I'm shocked!

My working assumption is that if it mattered, we would know by now.

When we got news that the subway was running. Most of the crowd departed and went underground. The passengers on the trains didn't know what was going on so we informed them. They became terrified and wanted to leave the train. As each of us left, we waved goodbye as if it were the last time. It felt like the end of the world. It felt like we in a movie and it was ending.

Any idiot can see that this is a missile, not a plane.

I don't know what it was doing over DC, but I wish it would bring its misting capabilities to LA. It's damn hot here today, and it would be awesome if a plane would fly over and mist us.
