Theatre Nerds Create On-Hold Soaps

Ever notice that while you're on hold, the cord begins to look remarkably like a noose? After hours of irritating recorded jingles, scratchy classical music and monotonous sales pitches, I found these creative hold messages quite refreshing. Our retail business will get a few on hold clips rolling next week. Hey, it's better than listening to Bob in accounting.

Um, sorry for not giving you the benefit of the doubt, but are you getting paid for posting this? Pretty thin Pepsi Gruel otherwise.

I actually kinda like the whole porn-groove smooth jazz on hold music thing. It makes me think they expect me to slip into something more comfortable before I talk to Arjun from Bangladesh.

Ever notice how some sales people seem to start their pitch with a slightly amusing rhetorical question? And how it never really works, if the bullshit smells strong enough?

Speaking of pitches, NewIQ, hold on--in just a few minutes you will be skewered with pitchforks and lambasted with a banhammer, but in the meantime, we appreciate your patience.
