A long time ago, the 8 miles of highway between Pullman WA and Moscow ID was one of the deadliest in the country. That was because Washington state had a drinking age of 21, but Idaho's was 19, and Washington State University is in Pullman.
Lots of drunk driving westbound on that road.

Since this is due for deletion, I'd like to make a confession here, where very few will see. I hate when I see spelling like this and get all indignant about how ignorant and abusive people can be of the language they use every damned day only to realize that it is a common spelling in non US English-speaking states. That is all.
