Fox News Chaos

Fox and Friends was even more Fair and Balanced than usual today. Chris Wallace took the hosts to task for "Obama-bashing" and "deflecting attention away from the issues". Brian Kilmeade also expressed displeasure by storming off the set.

Anyway, I saw this earlier and thought it was kind of awesome. Then again, I am an Obamaton, or whatever the current slur is.

I'm guessing this is Fox News trying out a Two Decent Conservatives, One Hysterical Liberal format.

I haven't watched cable news in a long time. Anchors are allowed to express their opinions now? When did that happen?

Fox and Friends is the most terrible thing on any of the cable news networks. I give O'Reilly and Hannity types passes because they are doing opinion shows, but Fox and Friends honestly pretends to be more than that. It's offensive and unwatchable, they do nothing but spout conservative talking points without a strong counter voice will pretending to be some sort of news program. (And Kilmeade has been guilty of that as much as any of the others.)
I'm not shocked it can break down like this now and again, cognitive dissonance is a powerful force. They all watched the speech, they all know Obama's challenge to them was to step away from "gotcha" politics so we can have a serious discussion about race and there they are shamelessly accusing Obama of hating his grandmother and all white people. I would shoot myself in the head of it was my job to sabotage democracy and the potential of my country in that way.
