So... academics report that they have found the world's oldest joke (from around 1900BC). It's certainly not the world's funniest joke, or even a patch on the Ernest Scribbler classic ("Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! ... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput."), or even the world's funniest religious joke. Frankly it's not that funny. I'll get me coat.

Wow. I wonder if the dude that came up with that thigh-slapper in Sumeria four thousand years ago thought it would live to be discussed on a world-spanning abacus derivative network? I think not.

I blame the translator, this joke is totally hilarious and much dirtier in the original Sumarian.
