When a second cold war just won't do: INVADE Russia!

This post was deleted for the following reason: this is really minutia-filter. I know it's a very important topic but really can we do better than this? -- jessamyn
Well played.
But the most bizarre aspect of the interview was that Palin didn't know what the "Bush Doctrine" is. That is unacceptable ignorance in a vice-presidental candidate. If Biden didn't know what that was, I would vote for a third party candidate.

Yeah, but to be fair, during the last election cycle she was mayor of a town of a few thousand in the middle of nowhere.
Oh wait, that's not just fair, it's also another reason to not vote for this idiotic ticket.

God damn it I was hoping there was an "Electionfilter" flag now. Please? You could do one of those things where it's only visible for my account, that's fine.

There's family values for you. Nothing like starting another war, this time with someone who actually has weapons of mass destruction.
On the bright side, Russia has plenty of oil!

Odd, I don't think I saw anything about invading Russia in that article.

I really thought ol Charlie would lob a few softballs up there for her to hit out of the park. He had to 'splain to her what the Bush doctrine was/is - it's not quite as famous as the Monroe Doctrine. But this still blows.

Well crap -- maybe this wasn't the best post in hindsight. It seemed relevant to me, but I had a brain-fart on the whole idea of "electionfilter." Please don't banish me to Fark.

She's not too bright, it's true. But back when you people were watching Saturday morning cartoons, there was something called the Cold War, and it involved a lot tougher talk than this against a even uglier Russia that was fingering the hair trigger on a fully armed nuclear arsenal. Tough talk against Russia used to be as much part of presidential campaigns as kissing babies and wearing Indian headdresses.
