The Chicago Tribune endorses Barack Obama.
Notable as this is the first time in its history the Chicago Tribune has endorsed the Democratic Party's nominee for president. (They explain how Horace Greeley doesn't really count.) Their reasoning is rather reminiscent of Christopher Buckley's. (Reported earlier in Mefi.) It's called principled conservatism.
