Peterson's has helped connect individuals with educational institutions for decades by providing information about colleges and universities, career schools, graduate programs, distance learning, and scholarships. Their financial aid database of more than $5 billion worth of scholarships, grants, and prizes is fully searchable. They offer free online admissions practice tests for all the major college, graduate, and occupational entrance exams. The Advice Center and the Peterson's Planner are great ways to get started on your quest to find the education that's just right for you.

This post was deleted for the following reason: this doesn't really hit the "most people probably haven't seen it before" metric. Peterson's is a pretty known quantity. -- jessamyn

The wording of this makes it seem awfully like an adverpost.

Sorry about that. Guess I've been practicing my marketingspeak too much. :)

Pepsi is a company that sells a bold, robust, effervescent magic cola. It sells product to schools. The Pepsi racing team drives real fast. Their youtube channel has lots of fascinating videos that you can post to metafilter.

This is lead generation. If you fill out any of those forms and "wait for schools to contact you," your info is just being sold to those schools. Gobs of schools. Probably even schools you'd never have the tiniest interest in attending. And it'll be almost impossible to stop the barrage of phone calls and emails that follow.
