Admittedly a crap post. But a good crap post, as crap posts go. Because walking is something we all do. And Michael Jackson was more famous for walking backwards than for walking forwards, so it's worth seeing this forwards. Or so I believed.

He was amazing, most probably a paedophile, but amazing, such a brilliant dancer, and in all likelihood weird creepy kiddy fiddler, but fuck he could dance. Part of me thinks that he's a criminal that really should have gone to jail, and another part of me just put on Thriller. That's the conflict that we all share.

A blog post isn't quite evidence - and any manager with the slightest brain is going to say "Michael, sleep overs with 12 year olds may not be such a good idea" I'm amazed is was allowed to happen. Regardless, molestation or no, it was never going to end well.

Basically we now all know what went on with David Foster Wallace suddenly turning famous last year. Our attention is drawn not only to him, but to his works rather than his eccentricity, and boy howdy was there ever a lot of that to go around.

PS He's dead now, and the horror show is over in that regard. So now what it comes down to is: have you or have you not been waiting to be free of the conscientious constraints of enjoying one of the top funk artists ever - in the same pantheon as James Brown, Prince, George Clinton, and Sly Stone -because, from the ever-increasing dancefloors filling with ever more thrilled dancers that I'm seeing everywhere, clearly a great many of us have been.
