Tan-coloured glasses. Jerry winks. It was a troubled gig. Fortunately/Unfortunately it ends on Letterman... well, so it goes...

By Jerry's own admition, Woodstock was a crap performance. The combination of drugs and problems with the electric system causing shocks to Jerry and Bob when then played was too much for them to overcome. Last week being both the anniversary of Jerry's birth (Aug 1st) and his death (Aug 10th) was bittersweet. Siruis/WM had Jerry week for those ten days on the Grateful Dead channel. The interviews with Jerry are priceless. Interviews with those who knew jerry indicate he was a generous, gregarious and fun loving man. He is missed. Seeing the band these days is still great, but no matter how many Bob cowboy songs they play or how many Jerry songs they play with Bob singing (a la Ratdog) without Jerry it ain't the same.
