Hitler Vs Khan Noonien Singh - Single Link Downfall Video, that is strangely awesome.
"Sir, our starship has sustained heavy damage. I hope you will pay to have it repaired."
I have found that this has been a pretty tiresome meme from the get-go, but this one worked quite well.

Maybe I'm a humorless jackass, but Hitler as the hero just doesn't do it for me.

Being able to understand the German has ruined all these Downfall videos for me. There's too much of a conflict between what I'm hearing and what I'm reading.

Yes, they have become quite stale, but the ending of this one did make me laugh. That and Ricardo Montalban's "acting".

I've never liked this meme. But this was decent.
Also, great post title. :)

Y'all have seen this, right? Hitler Learns Leno Is Moving Back To Late Night. And I'm with Marisa. These things make me giggle something fierce.

I didn't think there was supposed to be a hero in this one. I'm not entirely sure that Kirk counted as heroic in the original, either, but I'm willing to accept that I may be beanplating TOS and the related movies inappropriately. Anyway, two bad guys blowing the crap out of each other was amusing and I'm glad I saw it.

OK, I do think it's kinda neat that Downfall's director is a fan of this meme:

As for the idea of such a serious scene being used for laughs, Hirschbiegel thinks it actually fits with the theme of the movie. "The point of the film was to kick these terrible people off the throne that made them demons, making them real and their actions into reality," he says. "I think it's only fair if now it's taken as part of our history, and used for whatever purposes people like." He adds, "If only I got royalties for it, then I'd be even happier."

You know who else would be even happier if he got royalties for his use in this meme?

Really, which crazy eugenics nut do you root for?
These always make me laugh too, and I agree with Hirschbiegel's reasoning - it's why I liked the movie itself in the first place. Hitler raging because he's been banned from Xbox Live is pretty chaplinesque, and that can only be a good thing.

I actually used it as a "next issue!" line in a comic a while back, after stealing it from Laurence Campbell.

I love it when the lobby (or wherever) explodes. If I ever design space-ships they will have neoclassical interiors with columns and everything.
