Omar (not) Walkin!

Various news outlets and blogs 1 2 Mullah Omar captured. Breitbart's BigGovernment broke it yesterday but no one in the mainstream U.S. media seems to be reporting. Meanwhile, Hilary Clinton seems to be out of the loop, having blasted Pakistan just this Sunday for harboring Bin Laden.

Or maybe not. I'm inclined to believe that the only thing that Breitbart is going to break will be fraudulent and forged documents that attack the left.

Well, they say a stopped clock is right twice a day, but I'm not sure Breitbart has ever been right about anything.
There's also this, given how pathetically desperate our American media has been to report incorrect military claims of killing or capturing "Al Qaeda's #whatever man", and then later admitting in a retraction on page 17-D in tiny print that it turns out the person in question wasn't even part of Al Qaeda, much less a ranking official, the fact that the NYT and other conservative media sources haven't been trumpeting this seems to be an indication that even they don't think its true. And they'll believe anything.

Much like the death of Fidel Castro, I won't believe it until Perez Hilton blogs it.

Despite what you might have read, the Pakistani government did not arrest Taliban leader Mullah Omar, a senior Pakistani government official confirms to The Cable.posted by Pope Guilty at 10:04 AM on May 12, 2010
"Neither the U.S. government nor the Pakistani government are saying this is true and it is not true," the official said, adding that he was never captured by the Pakistani military or intelligence services and is not in Pakistani custody.
"It just doesnt make sense that we would arrest a man and keep it a secret," the official went on, saying the reports by online sites including Big Government and The Jawa Report are totally off the mark.
Oh a Mullah Omar is purportedly Herr Bin Laden's second in command.

Yes, Pope Guilty but the Pakistani Govt also said the Times Square Bomber had nothing to do with the Taliban. So...

If the Times Square Bomber had something to do with the Taliban, we have nothing to worry about.

So we have too far right wingnut blogs quoting each other for truth, the TOI picks it up, and then another blog questions the reports, and this means it happened?
'K, sure, of course, whynot.
This thread will self destruct in 5...4...
