What intrigued me was that the layout of the linked page looked exactly like Seattle's "The Stranger". At first I thought, "Man, they hired the same el cheapo web designer", but then I realized that's because both papers are from the same folks! It seems that publishing 'mogul' Tim Keck founded the Portland Mercury last July, based on the fact that the Seattle-based weekly that he had founded 10 years ago was doing so well financially he felt it was time to expand.
And just how did Tim Keck manage to found The Stranger back in '91, being just a year out of college and recently moved to Seattle? Why, by using as seed money the $19,000 he'd earned selling the last weekly paper he'd founded, back in Madison, Wisconsin- a little periodical you all may know as The Onion.
It's like "Six Degrees of Tim Keck". See, it always comes back to a link to The Onion in the end...

stavros - Aw, shucks. Sorry to disappoint. :(

I enjoyed it, I think it's an outstanding post (anything not about Osama or Anthrax is a cut above IMHO)!

Well, I guess there's only so much embroidering one can do with insect genitalia.
There's a nightmare in there somewhere.

Uh, am I missing something? Are there picturs on this link?
By the way, excellent post. Short, sweet, and to the point. Just like bug dicks.

I'd comment, but I'm busy wrapping my ethernet connections in saran wrap.

The report reveals that the intromittent organs of the cockroach "have an articulated cluster of moving parts that resemble a Swiss Army knife."
So cockroaches can get stones out of horses hooves with their dick?

(He was the evil, raver-brain-damaged, bastard Son of Jamiroquai. He did dance in an entertaining sort of way, though.
Wonder what the hell happened to him.)
(I steadfastly refuse to comment on the quality, or lack thereof, of this particular FrontPagePost, though I have my own opinion, as per freakin usual.)
