Star Wars on telnet. It only gets about halfway through, but still an amazing effort.
This is really cool. I'm curious, tho', Gaz - how did you find this? 'Cause it was linked to two years ago today. This is really a totally honest question, 'cause if it's just coincidence, wow!
The ASCII stuff is cool, tho'.

i think it's pretty cool that after 2 years people are still seeing it for the first time and it's still just as impressive. unfortunately in that 2 years i don't think the guy has made much progress in completing it.

Maybe someone found it on the "two years ago" link on the sideblog and e-mailed it. *shrug*.
Anyway, I hadn't seen it, and I love it. That must represent a hell of a lot of work.

So I wonder how many degrees of separation I have from another MeFi user. Spooky!

I've often thought it would be cool if people were to go back through the earliest days of MeFi and recycle old links. Particularly if they're:
1. still alive,
2. have been updated recently, and
3. offer potential for new conversations.
However, this link hasn't been updated in two years and only inspired conversation about how old the link is. I guess one out of three is bad.

This is perhaps the most terrifying thing I've ever seen.

Recently saw this at /usr/bin/girl. Perhaps it's making the rounds again.

I think it is making the rounds again -- I saw it first a few weeks ago, I think, when one of my friends IM'ed me about it
