A new twist on the Nigerian Money Laundering Scam Spam? Everybody has a little cash-flow problem now and then...
I couldn't help but laugh when I overheard an old bloke on holiday this week...
"...and there'll be hundreds of emails waiting for me on my computer, you know. I get them from people I don't know, you know, who are trying to sell me strange things, I get all sorts.
And there was one from Nigeria about my bank account, well, never again..."

Is there anyplace you can forward those emails to get them shut down? Lately, I've taken to replying. I tell them I'm interested and leave my phone number...which is, of course, the number for the Secret Service Financial Crimes Division...

Yawn... if MeFi has stooped so low as to bother with posting chain letters, at least make them original and witty, not the product of some anal-retentive 10 year old or Terry McAuliffe (who often reminds me of anal-retentive 10 year olds).

clevershark - Are you complaining that someone posted an actual chain letter, or that it was partisan propaganda?
You seem to think it's both, but it's only the latter.

I prefer to think of it as witty political satire.
Propaganda is an entirely different animal.

shinnin: You can forward "Nigerian scam"-type letters to 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov. Be sure to indicate "NO LOSS" somewhere in the subject line if you haven't actually fallen for the scam.
