I have no idea what this is. monty python meets the near east. (warning: fairly loud audio; flash required)
I would think this was one of those "viral marketing" sites except that it's in... turkish?
any ideas what this is? babelfish doesn't translate turkish.
BTW, I would translate more, but I'm guessing there are actual Swedish speaking MeFi readers who would do a better job, so I'm passing it on to them. But I do hope someone does post a translation because what I DO understand of it is very funny.

Because I don't understand Swedish, that site has replaced the original zombo.com as the most useless, absurd and hilarious flash animation ever. Without question.

Hey, Lirp... have you checked out ZOMBO.com lately? It's been updated. It seems like they actually have a point, obscure as that might be.

Yeah I've seen what's going on at zombo.com, but the original animation was the only good one, I thought.
Anyway, I have used the Swedish Schoolnet Swedish-English Dictionary to do a word-for-word translation of the Hatten web page, as well as the entire song. I, um, don't speak any Swedish, so I guessed at some things that were ambiguous or missing, and for any words that I couldn't understand at all, I put question marks. A lot of it seems like nonsense, but it's sometimes difficult to tell the intended-nonsense from the translation-nonsense. In either case, det är njutbar!
The web page:
This, from beginning, traditional melody is also a popular dance. In short is it a ? as happens in following manner:
Group ? holds on for when music starts. When chorus begins to place the old hat on the all peoples head (? ? ?) The elected/? dance proud into in center of crowd - happy over to get wear hat. When "Hat is yours" sings must whole group sing and simultaneously point at drunk. Hat wearers sing of course "Hat is mine"!
A old but successful song-wizard who never became out of date! Comes to mind - next time perhaps you may wear hat!
Good luck!
(You need Flash/Shockwave player for to see film. Have you not it, collect here.)
As you notice is page altogether ?, but soon come it thrive with quantity with small funny film etc.

Okay, I've found out a little more. The singer is a fellow named Azar Habib (his name is shown at the end), and he's a very popular Arabic singer. What this animation is about is that even though he's singing in Arabic, putting up lyrics as if he were singing Swedish. So of course they look like nonsense.
From gbook.nu (down at the moment, maybe because of the animation?)
Patti, is this for real?
I'm Swedish and found your site when looking for the "ansiktsburk"-animation. This animation has been made by some very funny swedish guy and it's widely known - I heard of it in school and checked it out immediately - and how I laughed...
The funny thing about the the song is that it is some turkish or arabian pop-song were the words can be interpreted in swedish! It really sounds like the arabian man is singing some strange swedish that makes absolutely no sense. "Ansiktsburk" isn't a word but a combination of words that means face-can.
Your translation is if possible even funnier than the actual animation - for example you translated "Hammarby-Nisse" to "hammer-brownie" and everyone who's swedish can see how funny that is. (Hammarby is a soccer team)
/Lars
... apparently there's more than one song done up like this?
(There is a series of very funny satirical books that take Mother Goose and create uncanny soundalikes for every verse, in French or German, and then proceed to dissect the resulting nonsense as if it were the most serious academic exercise of a literary historian. A slightly obsessed literary historian. Mots d'Heures, Gousses, Rames ... N'Heures Souris Rames ... and Morder Guss Reims. If you find puns and nonsense to your liking, I guarantee these will give you hours of apoplectic pleasure.)

And here, for completeness, is Ansiktsburk ... and when you've seen that, listen to this techno cover sung by a Swedish MP3.com band called Nervkollaps.
