Worried about nutrition?

Worried about nutrition? Then you should be very scared if you eat at:

Burger King

McDonalds

Taco Bell

Wendy's

Jack in the Box

Even Subway which sells its food as healthy (low fat) contains more sodium than canned soup.

And don't forget Carl's Jr.

The Jack-in-the-Box Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger alone has more fat than you're supposed to eat in an entire day. Damn, that's frightening.

If Big Tobacco is liable for our health problems (246 BILLION lawsuit) and other tobacco issues, shouldn't McD's and the others be afraid? ...as with automotive makers and any other "hazardous" product maker?

Just thinking.

I think that, since McDs hasn't gone on record to say that their burgers don't contain fat or that fat isn't unhealthy, they're probably okay. If it were discovered that they were manipulating the numbers or deliberately lying about the fat content (or the potential consequences of fat in your diet), that would be a different story. Of course, *SOMEBODY* will try it anyway... and sometimes it seems that the frivolous lawsuits are more successful than the legit ones, they might even be successful. Hey Wendell - wanna convert that Weightism Discrimination Suit into a Product Liability Suit?

One place that I just discovered over spring break and would certainly recommend over the other fast food stops would be Whataburger Although it is only in the Southern states the service still counts for something. Anyone care to expand the nutrition list for Perkins, Dennys', Chili's, Applebee's, Boston Market, Cinnabon, Taco Bell, or know of a place that compares some of my favorite stops?

Yeah, but the lifetime smokers usually sued the makers of their one regular brand; my cholesterol addiction was evenly divided between the Carl's Jr. Bacon Western Cheeseburger, the Del Taco Macho Burrito and the Arby's Beef-n-Cheddar (which is about as far removed from real food as is possible with today's technology)
...hey...
Waitaminute!! How did you come up with the automatic connection between obesity and McFood? In my case it's at least partially true, but there are plenty-o-other factors and influences... you wouldn't accuse Paul Pruddhome of being a Big Mac junkie, would you?

I'm just saying that *somebody* is gonna try to cash in, it might as well be you - feel free to settle out of court for "an undisclosed number of cheeseburgers"...

I would have sworn that there was a Whataburger in... I'm thinking Torrance... but I could have been mistaken. I thought it was near one of the places that my wife dances.

Yeah, Whattaburger has been in and out of the L.A. market... there used to be one in Oxnard that Mrs. Wendell and I would stop at when we'd drive up the coast... the Whattaburger itself was humongous, but they had a more reasonably-sized offering called "Justaburger"
Standard Dave Barry Disclaimer: I am NOT making this up.

Ahh... remember A&W's Momma Burger, Poppa Burger, and Baby Burgers? I'm guessing they aren't still named that way - but when I was a kid, I always had trouble because I was too hungry for the Baby Burger, not quite hungry enough for the Poppa Burger, but embarrased to order the Momma Burger 'cause it was for girls. I miss going and getting my frosty mug o' rootbeer in an actual frosty mug.

Ohhhh.... Pennicillin-Resistant-Nostalgia...
The low point of my radio career was working at an AM station in Tulare, CA with borderline-obscene call-letters (KCOK, Standard Dave Berry Disclaimer applies). And they did a nightly requests-and-dedications show, but they didn't get their dedicactions over the phone; you had to fill out a card at the Tulare A&W Drive-In.
The highlight of that experience was the A&W mug; the lowlight was listening to "Always and Forever" EVERY night at 8:55...
